Moved to ames in July and was looking for a new stylist for my curly hair. I have am on low dose chemo for a chronic illness and need special attention to detail 😅 Let's just say Alexa is PHENOMENAL for this. She listened, she knows her stuff, she knew EXACTLY what to do for my poor damaged hair too. THEN, when I had my first joint replacement surgery Trinity did my braids (that stayed for well over a week!) SO I wouldn't have to worry about doing my hair post-op! I am in LOVE with this salon 😍 and the people in it. Cannot recommend these people enough!

I decided on a whim to schedule an appointment to dye my hair after not dying it for 5 years. I scheduled it with Laurel and it genuinely was the best decision I made! Laurel was super kind and she made me feel so beautiful the entire time. She made everything so comfortable and we had a conversation going the entire time. My hair turned out exactly what I wanted, and the price was very reasonable. Highly recommend!

I asked for 5 inches off of my beautiful hair and even showed a picture of what I wanted but got more like 7-8 taken off. I shouldn’t have to say much about the cut considering the post haircut picture explains plenty. I look like I’m wearing a wig and my head looks like a mushroom. This is the second time I’ve been here and both times I’ve been disappointed with my haircut. Guess I’m wearing a beanie for the next month or two. However, they did give me a refund which I appreciate.

Everyone you meet at Heroic is so kind and they have so many talented people in the salon that you can’t go wrong booking an appt here. I do have to say how amazing Abi is though!! She worked efficiently, taking the time and care necessary for the end product to be exactly what we had talked about. I left happier than I’ve ever been with the end result of my hair color.

I got waxed by Sierra! I had a really great experience and recommend her services! She was patient and easy to talk to and gave me tips to help prevent ingrown hairs.

I have been getting waxed by Sierra for about 2 years and followed her to Heroic Hair. I have tried multiple waxers before her and she has been, by far, the best! Because of her I also get my hair done there too and have always loved it!

This week I treated myself to my first facial ever! I met with Angelina and she made sure to thoroughly go over my concerns with me and walk me through the process to make sure I was comfortable and ready to be treated. I then got cozy under the plush covers and sank into a tranquil state as Angelina worked her magic. Angelina was gentle and I felt so refreshed and relaxed after my appointment and seriously looking forward to many more appointments! If you need a little relaxation time or never had a facial. I highly recommend Angelina at Heroic Hair! You will be glowing and relaxed as you leave.

I love this place! Great environment and super friendly staff :) I specifically go to Lizbeth who is absolutely amazing! She’s done my haircut and has been doing my blond hair for a couple months now. Amazing result every time! I’ve never left unhappy with my hair. She always explains what she’s doing which I really appreciate and is always happy to answer any questions I have! Also just a great person to be around when you’re in there for a couple hours going blonde 😭 I couldn’t recommend this place enough! :) I’ll definitely be making the trip here from Ankeny after I graduate! Love this place, Liz, and everyone else working :)
